Project Mend-A-House Volunteers

How can you help?

We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers with the following skills:

  • Carpentry
  • Drywall installation
  • Driveway repair
  • Electrical work
  • Fundraising
  • Gardening
  • Painting
  • Plumbing
  • Photography (to shoot 'before' and 'after' photos of repair work)
  • Publicity
  • Roof repair
  • Stairclimber installation -electrical
  • Tile work
  • Other specialized skills: please let us know what your expertise is!

Even if you don't have specific training in any of these areas, we are always looking for
volunteers to:

  • Conduct site visits
  • Perform small paint jobs
  • Repair cracks in walls and stairs
  • Apply grout
  • Fundraising
  • Install railings
  • Install smoke detectors
  • Pull weeds
  • Mow lawns
  • Shovel snow
  • Rake leaves
  • Perform light administrative duties in our office
  • Photography (to shoot 'before' and 'after' photos of repair work)
  • Publicity

Support Project Mend-A-House

We welcome your tax-deductible donations. Our overhead expenses are few, so all the money you donate to Project Mend-A-House benefits clients. Here is a sampling of how your dollars will be used:

  Your gift of $25 provides a can of paint
  Your gift of $30 provides a pair of hand rails
  Your gift of $50 provides a bath seat or a foot of wood for a ramp
 

Your gift of $100 provides new bathroom fixtures

How Can You Help?

In addition to volunteering to make client's home safer and restore their cherished independence, you can also help bring hope to a client by becoming a member of the Project Mend-A-House family. You can be part of our team and help us raise the funds needed to fix up our neighborhoods and community. Your contributions are tax deductible and 100% re-invested into the local community.
