Project Mend-A-House Volunteers
How can you help?
We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers with the following skills:
- Carpentry
- Drywall installation
- Driveway repair
- Electrical work
- Fundraising
- Gardening
- Painting
- Plumbing
- Photography (to shoot 'before' and 'after' photos of repair work)
- Publicity
- Roof repair
- Stairclimber installation -electrical
- Tile work
- Other specialized skills: please let us know what your expertise is!
Even if you don't have specific training in any of these areas, we are always looking for
volunteers to:
- Conduct site visits
- Perform small paint jobs
- Repair cracks in walls and stairs
- Apply grout
- Fundraising
- Install railings
- Install smoke detectors
- Pull weeds
- Mow lawns
- Shovel snow
- Rake leaves
- Perform light administrative duties in our office
- Photography (to shoot 'before' and 'after' photos of repair work)
- Publicity

We welcome your tax-deductible donations. Our overhead expenses are few, so all the money you donate to Project Mend-A-House benefits clients. Here is a sampling of how your dollars will be used:

In addition to volunteering to make client's home safer and restore their cherished independence, you can also help bring hope to a client by becoming a member of the Project Mend-A-House family. You can be part of our team and help us raise the funds needed to fix up our neighborhoods and community. Your contributions are tax deductible and 100% re-invested into the local community. |
