From The Executive Director:

Welcome to Project Mend-A-House on the Web!

For over 24 years, Project Mend-A-House has enabled clients to remain safely and independently in their own homes. Thanks to our volunteers, who are the heart of the organization, clients have increased mobility and accessibility. Volunteers have built dozens of ramps, modified doors, secured flooring, repaired leaky faucets, restored electricity and made vast home improvements. Outside improvements have made our clients homes more aesthetically pleasing; shrubbery has been trimmed, brush removed, lawns mowed, and fresh coats of paint applied. And the best part- these repairs are being completed in a timely fashion and free of charge - thanks to you.

Our volunteers complete an average of 120 projects and donate 6,600 hours each year to the community. Thanks to you who care — our business partners, civic and faith-based organizations, volunteers and financial supporters, Project Mend-A-House will continue to restore the dignity of all so that our neighbors may remain safely and independently in their homes.

Project Mend-A-House Partners

  • How Corporate Partners help Project Mend-A-House achieve community successes
  • Project Mend-A-House's corporate partners
  • How Your Corporation can help

There are a number of ways that our corporate partners help Project Mend-A-House achieve our mission of providing assistance to low-income and disabled residents of Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park. Tax deductible donations provide the means for Project Mend-A-House to purchase materials and supplies required for all projects ranging from building ramps to fixing plumbing leaks. Project Mend-A-House invests 100% of donations back into the local community. Corporate employees possess specialized trade skills and are willing to donate several hours of their time per month to work on specific projects. Often times, local corporations are seeking opportunities to team with local organizations, such as Project Mend-A-House, to help those less fortunate residents. Project Mend-A-House projects are opportunities for corporations to conduct "team-building" events to provide the elusive 'win-win' where the company, Project Mend-A-House and, most importantly, the local resident benefits from such an arrangement.
